Vox Media Executive Fired Over Sexual Assault Allegations
CANNED
Lockhart Steele admitted to âengaging in conduct that is inconsistent with our core values,â the company said.
An executive at Vox Media was fired this week over allegations of sexual assault. The company said that Lockhart Steele, the editorial director, admitted to âengaging in conduct that is inconsistent with our core values and will not be tolerated at Vox Media.â The move came after a former Vox employee, Eden Rohatensky, wrote in a Medium post last week that âone of the companyâs VPsâ sexually assaulted her in the backseat of a cab, without mentioning Steeleâs name or Vox.
