The New Abnormal co-host Danielle Moodie had two blunt words to kick off Monday’s episode: “Schumer sucks.”

The Senate minority leader caved in a seminal House vote last week, allowing the passage of what Moodie described as a “draconian” Republican-led spending bill packed with President Donald Trump’s favored policies.

“Chuck Schumer decided, ‘I care more about my donors and what’s happening on Wall Street than I do about democracy and any leverage that the Democratic Party could muster in this moment’—as we’re in the midst of an entire coup,” Moodie argued. The bill notably averted a government shutdown that would have taken effect on Saturday.

“You are a waste of space,” she continued. “And you’ve worked your whole life to be in a position to do what? Capitulate to the enemy.”

“He needs to go,” co-host Andy Levy chimed in. “We can’t have people like this in the Senate for the next three years with everything going on with the Trump administration, with the Republicans—he’s worse than worthless. He is actually a hindrance. And I think he should resign.”
