Think you’ve got a light touch? Shi Liliang, a Shaolin monk from the Quanzhou Shaolin Temple, has used his training to run across 200 one-centimeter thick wooden planks floating on water – without falling in. All told he ran just over 410 feet – handily defeating his prior record of 393 feet.

In case you ever wondered if ninjas were, in fact real, well, now you know. Consider also fellow Shaolin monk Lian Trang, who can lie on sharpened spears without a scratch, and even press a running drill into his scull without piercing it. See the whole water run below, and enjoy the sobering realization of your own softness.
