The first teaser for Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker dropped on Friday afternoon. Lucasfilm debuted the first trailer for the final installment of the Star Wars during a panel at Star Wars Celebration. The trailer reveals the final installment’s long-awaited name, and largely focuses on Daisy Ridley’s character Rey. The trailer notably features: the late Carrie Fisher in her final scenes she filmed before her death; Billy Dee Williams’ long-awaited return as original trilogy character Lando Calrissian; and a haunting laugh from Emperor Palpatine, the arch-villain who was killed by Darth Vader at the end of Episode VI.
