Watch: Glowing Sea Turtle Discovered

National Geographic’s David Gruber was on a dive to document biolfluorescence in sharks and coral off the Solomon Islands when he saw what he described as a “bright red and green spaceship” below the waves. Rather than a UFO, however, it was a hawksbill sea turtle, and the very first reptile spotted that sports biofluorescence. Hawksbills are listed as critically endangered.
