Musical genius Prince died Thursday at age 57. But one of the most incredible performances he gave us lives on on video.
In 2007, Prince performed at the halftime show for Super Bowl XLI—in the rain. The Miami downpour couldn’t stop Prince as he confidently strode through classics from Bob Dylan and Creedence Clearwater Revival, as well as several of his own hits, including “Let’s Go Crazy,” “Baby, I’m a Star,” and, serendipitously, “Purple Rain.”
The drama of the moment was not lost on Prince.

“Somebody take my picture, with all this rain,” he ad-libbed.
Years later, Rolling Stone still hailed it as the second-best halftime show of all time.
