If you love basketball, this weekend’s sure to be a slam dunk. Running from February 17–19, the 2017 NBA All-Star Weekend will take place in New Orleans, Louisiana, and feature the biggest names in basketball.
The fun starts Friday, with the Celebrity Game and Rising Stars rookie game at 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. EST, respectively, and wraps up Sunday evening with the 66th NBA All-Star game at 8:00 p.m. EST.
Throughout the weekend there will be various games and practices for fans to watch, including everyone’s favorite– the Slam Dunk contest. The dunk contest will follow the skills challenge and three-point contest on Saturday night at 8:00 p.m. EST.

The All-Star game, the weekend’s main event, will feature the NBA Eastern Conference and NBA Western Conference facing off to earn the All-Star title and compete against the league’s best players.
Headliners for the big game were picked by fans, NBA players, and the media from the two teams leading in the Eastern and Western Conferences, the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers. This year’s leading players include all-stars LeBron James and Kyrie Irving of the Cavaliers and Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant from Golden State.
In addition to LeBron and Irving, the Eastern Conference team starters will include Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Milwaukee Bucks, Jimmy Butler from the Chicago Bulls, and DeMar DeRozan from the Toronto Raptors. The Western Conference team is also slated to include Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans, James Harden from the Houston Rockets, and Kawhi Leonard from the San Antonio Spurs.
Fans cast over 38 million votes during NBA All-Star Voting this year, according to an NBA press release, so hopefully a good fraction of those are happy with Sunday night’s lineup.
Sunday’s game will be a fun showing of some of the 2016-2017 season’s all-star players, but be sure to tune in Friday and Saturday for some other NBA action. Here’s how to watch live, along with a full schedule so you don’t miss a minute.
