Dogs, apparently, can surf. In fact, at California’s Huntington Beach, they do it every year.
Sunday marked the eighth annual Surf City Surf Dog competition, where surfers of all breeds rode huge waves with surprising poise and skill. Some dogs rode their surfboards alone, while others partnered with another dog or a human companion. At least one dog managed to stay on the board longer than its human. In the end, a Brazilian labrador named Bono—who had actually flown in from Brazil—won the top prize.
