A 2012 watchdog report found that President Donald Trump’s Veterans Affairs nominee, Dr. Ronny Jackson, and a “rival physician” displayed “unprofessional behaviors” while fighting for power within the White House medical unit, according to the Associated Press. The watchdog report from the Navy’s Medical Inspector General suggested that the White House consider replacing Jackson, Dr. Jeffrey Kuhlman, or both physicians. It found a “lack of trust in the leadership” due to the doctors’ behavior. Staff members reportedly described the working environment as “being caught between parents going through a bitter divorce.”
