After a Trump supporter “violently pushed” a BBC cameraman during the president’s Monday evening rally near the border, the White House has condemned the “act of violence.” “President Trump condemns all acts of violence against any individual or group of people—including members of the press,” White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement on Tuesday. “We ask that anyone attending an event do so in a peaceful and respectful manner.”

The White House comments come hours after the British network’s requested a review of security measures “for the media attending the president’s rallies.” On Monday night, the Trump supporter, who was screaming “Fuck the media” and wearing a red Make America Great Again hat, shoved BBC cameraman Ron Skeans before being restrained and removed by security.
