After a seven-week trial and more than 70 witnesses, a jury found Boston mobster Whitey Bulger guilty of involvement in 11 murders, plus various conspiracy and racketeering charges. Bulger led the Boston Irish mob the Winter Hill Gang during the 1970s and ’80s, only to dissapear before a 1994 indictment. He was found living in a Santa Monica apartment in 2011, with an arsenal of guns and $822,000 in cash. The 83-year-old Bulger faces life in prison, with sentencing expected to take several days.
