Video has emerged of one of Donald Trump’s security guards attempting to bully protesters in a Wisconsin hotel lobby by sticking his camera phone in their faces. At one point the guard, former FBI agent Don Albracht, aggressively snatches a sign out of one protester’s hand.
Then a Janesville officer arrives and tries the good cop routine.
“I understand why everybody’s here,” he begins, “and we’ve been working extremely hard the last four days to help create a safe environment for everybody, including you guys.”
Without intimidating anyone or even raising his voice, the cop calmly explains that the protesters are in a private business and will need to move outside.
The protesters are reluctant at first, having camped out there to prevent a town hall the hotel planned to hold with Trump the next day. But in the end, they leave the building, effectively removed by a show of Midwestern Nice.
One can hope Albracht took notes.
