Canadian pole vault record holder and 2015 world champion Shawn Barber died Wednesday at his home in Kingwood, Texas. He was 29. Barber’s cause of death is still unknown, but he had been experiencing some health issues, according to the Associated Press. “More than just an incredible athlete, Shawn was such a good-hearted person that always put others ahead of himself,” his agent Paul Doyle said Thursday. “It’s tragic to lose such a good person at such a young age.”
