Three of the four surviving Doolittle Raiders, who participated in Commander James “Jimmy” Doolittle’s bombing attack on Japan, reunited Saturday at the national Air Force museum in southwest Ohio for a ceremonial final toast. The Doolittle mission is credited with boosting American morale during World War II and breaking Japan’s streak of military successes. The remaining Raiders will toast their comrades, both alive and deceased, following a memorial service and B-25 bomber flyover.
