Yahoo revealed on Tuesday that all 3 billion Yahoo accounts were affected by a massive 2013 hack. The company had initially said that 1 billion accounts were affected by the data breach. “The company required all users who had not changed their passwords since the time of the theft to do so,” Yahoo said Tuesday on its Account Security Update webpage. “Yahoo also invalidated unencrypted security questions and answers so they cannot be used to access an account.” The hack exposed users’ passwords and dates of birth, among other sensitive information.
