In another step toward the digital future, Yahoo is publishing a comprehensive style guide designed specifically for the Internet. "The rapid growth of the Web has meant having to rely on style guides that are intended for print publishing, such as The Chicago Manual of Style, Strunk and White's The Elements of Style, or The Associated Press Stylebook," the book's Amazon page says. "But these excellent guides do not address writing for the Internet." The Yahoo guide will address topics such as best formats for mobile devices and search-engine optimization. Meanwhile, The AP Stylebook promises a new social-media section, including terminology and tips on how to use social media as a journalist.
