Yitzchak Shamir on Peace Negotiations

In 1988, Israeli Prime Minister Yitzchak Shamir said his country was ready to talk peace with its Arab neighbors 'without preconditions.' But he said he would never negotiate with the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), which he called 'a terrorist organization whose aim is to destroy the State of Israel.' Shamir died Saturday at the age of 96.
