More than a dozen Lululemon stores in the Bay Area have reportedly come under attack by a gang of women who’ve already made off with more than $50,000 worth of yoga pants in less than two weeks. Police in Berkeley released surveillance footage Tuesday in a bid to identify the suspects, who allegedly pulled off heists at stores in Berkeley, Gilroy, Walnut Creek, San Jose, San Mateo, and Stanford in a matter of days. “They walk into the store, a group of two or three come in with bags, and they start filling those bags with items,” Officer Byron White of the Berkeley Police Department was quoted as saying by ABC 7 News. Lululemon leggings cost an average of $100 per pair, and the store reportedly has a policy that prohibits staff from pursuing suspected thieves once they’ve left the store. In one robbery captured on camera this weekend, three women made off with 148 pairs of leggings, and the store manager did not attempt to stop them.
