Zac Efron is recovering from what his reps say was a “minor” pool accident in Ibiza. On Saturday, TMZ reported that the High School Musical actor had been taken to a Spanish hospital after the incident happened on Friday night. Efron was found in the pool by two people working at the villa. He has since been released and is doing fine. According to the outlet, earlier this week, Efron was spotted on stage with Martin Garrix during a DJ set on the Spanish island. This “minor” incident aside, years ago the actor previously endured a more intense injury in which he shattered his jaw in a slip and fall. “No, it was funny. It sucked. I almost died, but we’re good,” said Efron about the injury in a 2022 interview with Entertainment Tonight. Following the accident, Efron was forced to dispel rumors that he had gone under the knife to change his appearance. The change in his jaw was the result of his masseter muscles getting “really, really big” he told Men’s Health.
