George Zimmerman visited a Florida gun factory late last week that makes the type of weapon he used to kill Trayvon Martin last year—a move that even his lawyer chided. “We understand how George visiting the factory that produces the gun used to shoot Trayvon Martin could be seen as inappropriate,” said Shawn Vincent, a spokesman for Zimmerman’s lawyer, Mark O’Mara. Zimmerman reportedly asked about the legality of carrying a Kel-Tec KSG, the 12-gauge pump-action gun that he used to shoot Martin, who was unarmed, in February 2012. Zimmerman was acquitted in July of second-degree murder charges in Martin’s death.
