Jason Epstein is chairman of On Demand Books. He was for many years editorial director of Random House during a 50-year career. In 1952, he introduced the trade paperback format and later co-founded the New York Review of Books and founded with Edmund Wilson the Library of America. He is the author of Book Business, now available in 10 translations.
