It would be remiss to name the Queen of Twerkin's double-bun-nugget "The Miley," as has been done before. Long before Cyrus stepped writhed onstage in latex at the VMAs with the aforementioned hairstyle, the double bun topped the heads of Princess Leia, Gwen Stefani, and even "Scary Spice" Melanie Brown. The "cinnamon-bun" look was truly out of this world when Star Wars was first released in 1977. The film's beloved Princess Leia is the founding mother behind the double-bun trend. In addition to inspiring other daring women in entertainment, we contend her look influenced the makers of the first headphones.
Pop singer Brandy took the double bun to the next level by braiding them for her role as Moesha on the 90s sitcom. Sweet Brandy buns! And no, we're not talking about the pastry.
