Conspiracy theorist and right-wing radio host Alex Jones admitted several InfoWars videos and tweets were wrong and “have now been retracted,” as part of a settlement Wednesday with yogurt maker Chobani, which he falsely accused of employing refugees that raped children. “Certain statements were made on the Infowars Twitter feed and YouTube channel regarding Chobani LLC that I now understand to be wrong,” Jones said in a statement. Chobani had filed a suit for defamation, claiming articles like “MSM Covers For Globalist’s Refugee Import Program After Child Rape Case” and were false and amplified by Infowars. Infowars also claimed the company’s workers were responsible for a “500% increase in tuberculosis in Twin Falls,” where it is headquartered. Jones previously said about the case “I’m not backing down, I’m never giving up, I love this” in April.
