Three decades ago Carol Patterson started a Flying Zoo with a Cessna 172 and a binturong and flew away from a career as a CPA. She became an ecotourism planning consultant, then a travel writer contributing to Canadian and International publications, and was made a Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society. She loves cold climes, great wildlife watching, and heated mittens.
