John P. Sullivan is a career police officer. He currently serves as a lieutenant with the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department. He is co-author of Studies in Gangs and Cartels (Routledge, 2013), a Senior Fellow at Small Wars Journal-El Centro and holds a PhD in Knowledge and Information Society from the Open University of Catalonia.
