Matan Cohen is an Israeli political theorist and analyst. He holds a double PhD in Middle Eastern studies and Comparative Literature from Columbia University, and taught critical theory, cultural studies and Middle East politics at NYU, Barnard College and Columbia. He served as a senior diplomatic, human rights and communications advisor, worked extensively as a documentary and news producer, and contributed reporting to the BBC, The Guardian, The Los Angeles Times, Rolling Stone, Al Jazeera English, Deutsche Welle, France 2, and Mediapart, among other publications.
