Olivia Hill is the first out transgender person to ever be elected to political office in Tennessee, serving metropolitan Nashville as one of the county’s five At-Large members on its council. She is a Navy veteran who served in the engineering division for a decade, seeing combat in Desert Storm. A member of the board of directors of the Tennessee Pride Chamber, she was the 2023 Grand Marshall of the city’s Pride celebration. She received Vanderbilt University’s Chancellor’s Heart and Soul Award in 2019 and was chosen as the LGBTQ Advocate of the Year in 2020. Olivia is completing her book chronicling her life with gender dysphoria and her transition beginning in 2018.
