Richard Davis is a former Assistant Watergate Special Prosecutor and served as Assistant Secretary of the Treasury (Enforcement and Operations) from 1977-1981 during the Carter Administration. He served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the SDNY from 1970-73, and was Chair of the New York Commission to Combat Police Corruption from 1996-2002. He is the co-author of the book, American Hostages in Iran, and is currently a practicing lawyer in New York City.
The president could spend the next 15 months as an elder statesman who puts the country first, while also helping his own party’s chances in the 2024 elections.
