Roosevelt, American Public Opinion, and the War against Nazi Germany (2001), and Selling the Korean War: Propaganda, Politics, and Public Opinion (2008), which won the 2010 Truman Book Award. He is currently completing a new book, When Soldiers Fall: How Americans have Debated Combat Losses from World War I to Afghanistan, to be published by Oxford University Press.
