Actress Felicity Huffman was confronted by FBI agents with their guns drawn when she opened her door at dawn on Tuesday, the Los Angeles Times reports. The award-winning Desperate Housewives star has been charged as part of the college-admissions fraud scandal that has seen dozens of the rich and famous accused of paying millions in bribes to help their kids get into America’s most selective universities. Huffman was reportedly handcuffed at her door and went on to spent hours in federal custody at a detention center in downtown Los Angeles. The actress is accused of disguising a $15,000 charitable payment as part of the alleged bribery scheme, according to court records. Huffman made a brief court appearance Tuesday and her husband, fellow actor William H. Macy, was in attendance as the magistrate ordered her free on $250,000 bail. She’s expected to appear in a Boston courtroom March 29 to address the charges.
