It’s no secret that Fox News has an increasingly creepy obsession with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez—but they managed to take things to a new level Friday when they tried to place blame on her for a deadly shooting.
The murder in question was a gruesome New York City shooting last Sunday, footage of which went viral this week. Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed the alleged gunman, who officials say is a known MS-13 gang member, shot his victim at a subway station in Queens and is believed to be in the U.S. illegally.
Without warning, Fox & Friends showed horrifying footage of the killing this morning—seemingly with the sole intention of using it to attack Ocasio-Cortez, whose district includes the station where the man was killed.

“We have video of him being murdered in the district of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez,” said host Brian Kilmeade as the uncensored footage was shown alongside the all-caps captions “AOC won’t fund ICE despite MS-13 murder” and “Ocasio-Cortez calls to abolish ICE.”
Kilmeade went on: “Now, if the only hope we have of kicking this guy out before he can kill somebody, shoot somebody, is ICE. And that’s what they do, to try and hunt them down. So you would think that maybe the people might be upset at ICE for maybe not getting there quick enough.
“But no, not her. Ocasio-Cortez after, I imagine, seeing this horror, is upset that ICE even exists. She cried about it. And you just watched these border negotiations, as you see this horrible scene going down.”
With the murder footage still on screen, co-host Steve Doocy added: “She is, they are trying to starve out ICE by not funding them.”
The hosts were referencing a Thursday press conference held by Ocasio-Cortez in which she was brought to tears when discussing the death of a 7-year-old boy who was in ICE custody. At the gathering on Capitol Hill, she said: “We are here to say that an agency like ICE, which repeatedly and systematically violates human rights, does not deserve a dime.”
When they weren’t trying to blame her for a murder, the Fox & Friends hosts were spitting feathers over Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal, a vague non-binding resolution hat sets out a range of non-specific and sometimes bizarre ways to reduce greenhouse-gas emissions.
“I understand her idea of progress as being no flying, undoing the folly of the Wright brothers, and then going back to trains,” said an angry Kilmeade. “They’re old ways! Old ways to do things! I’m so angry!”
Kilmeade went on, turning to reporter Jillian Mele: “Do you know how many miles I have on Delta, Jillian? And it’s all going to go to waste... What am I going to use them for if there’s no planes?” He then went on to proudly say that he has a princely 76,000 Delta miles.
Kilmeade’s boasts fell flat, however, as Mele replied: “All right, you guys talk about that, I do have some sad news. Tributes continue to pour in following the death of the longest-serving congressman in history. Democrat John Dingell passing away at his Michigan home after battling cancer.”
