Kylie Jenner defended the “youngest self-made billionaire” title bestowed upon her by Forbes and claimed that she used “100 percent of [her] own money” to build her beauty brand. “There’s really no other word to use other than self-made because that is the truth,” Jenner told Interview Germany. “That is the category that I fall under.” While the 21-year-old admitted that the initial success of her brand came from the “huge platform” she already had, she insisted that none of the money she had now was given to her. “I did not get money from my parents past the age of 15,” she said. “I used 100 percent of my own money to start the company, not a dime in my bank account is inherited… and I am very proud of that.” Jenner also told the magazine that she “never thought” her financial success could hit such highs. “It feels amazing, it’s wild, and being the youngest ever to do it is a blessing. I now want to focus on giving back to people and doing things that I’m passionate about,” she said.
