Ever dreamed of tossing back a cold one beside some alien smugglers? Looks like Disney can (almost) make that dream a reality. Oga’s Cantina at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is coming to Disneyland later this year, making it the first spot in the park’s history to sell alcohol. “Every self-respecting spaceport has a cantina,” said Walt Disney Imagineering portfolio creative executive Scott Trowbridge in an online statement.“This is the best place on the outpost to catch up on the gossip, to meet some interesting characters, maybe make a new friend, maybe make a new enemy.” Currently under construction in the 14-acre Black Spire Outpost village, visitors should expect a cocktail lounge serving galactic-themed cocktails (what “otherworldly” methods create a “Jedi Mind Trick” cocktail is still to be seen), close encounters with alien cosplayers, and an animatronic droid DJ RX-24. Don’t expect any bar fights; kids have their choice from a non-alcoholic menu.
