After a near-century as the patriarch of the royal family, here is a survey of Prince Philip’s life as captured on film.

Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, died Friday at the age of 99. He lived nearly a century in the public eye, with more than 70 of those years at the side of the queen. Here are some of the brightest moments of his extraordinary life caught on camera.
