Retired U.S. Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens reportedly said that he thought Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s testimony at last week’s public hearing should disqualify him from the court. According to a Palm Beach Post reporter, Stevens said he thought Kavanaugh “had the qualifications,” but his testimony about the sexual-misconduct allegations made against him changed his view. “The Senators should pay attention to this,” Stephens reportedly said to a small audience in Boca Raton. “His performance in the hearings changed my mind.” Kavanaugh vehemently and emotionally denied the allegations made against him to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
