A day after the Pennsylvania Supreme Court released its newly redrawn electoral map, intended to amend the stateâs heavily gerrymandered districts, the National Republican Congressional Committee said it will file a lawsuit to keep it from going into effect. âThe suit will highlight the state Supreme Courtâs rushed decision that created chaos, confusion, and unnecessary expense in the 2018 election cycle,â Matt Gorman, a spokesman for the NRCC, said in a statement. United States Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito denied a request earlier this month from Pennsylvania Republicans to delay a ruling mandating a redraw of the map.
