Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV), a conservative member of the Democratic Party, announced his support on Monday for the Keep Families Together Act, making him the final Democratic member (plus independents Angus King and Bernie Sanders) of the Senate to support the legislation. âIâm wholeheartedly opposed to any policy that allows innocent children to be separated from their parents,â the senator said in a statement. âIâm signing onto the Keep Families Together Act but Iâm actively working with my Republican colleagues to find solutions to the issues that arenât addressed in the bill.â The legislation, introduced by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), is intended to combat the administrationâs policy of separating children from their parents at the border. âGideon Resnick
