The Golden State Warriors, who twice refused to meet Donald Trump following their last two NBA Championship victories, have finally met a president in Washington, D.C.—Barack Obama. Following the Warriors’ 2017 title, the team was belatedly disinvited to the White House by Trump after Stephen Curry said he had no interest in visiting the president after he repeatedly attacked athletes for taking the knee during the national anthem. During the 2017-18 season, Stephen Curry reiterated that he wouldn’t want to visit the White House as long as Trump is there. So, while the team was in D.C. to face the Wizards on Thursday, they dropped in on Obama instead. Draymond Green posted a pic with the caption: “Whole gang with the 44th president of the United States today.”
