President Trump slammed Virginia governor Ralph Northam’s former GOP opponent, Ed Gillespie, for not being the first to find a racist photo on Northam’s yearbook page. Gillespie “must now be thinking Malpractice and Dereliction of Duty with regard to his Opposition Research Staff,” the president tweeted. “If they find that terrible picture before the election, he wins by 20 points!” Gillespie, the former chairman of the Republican National Committee who ran on an anti-immigrant, Trump-style platform, lost to Northam in 2017.
