In response to a federal report published last week on the serious economic consequences of climate change, President Trump told reporters he does not “believe” the findings. “I’ve seen it. I’ve read some of it. It’s fine,” he said Monday. “I don’t believe it... Right now we’re at the cleanest we’re ever been.” Trump also claimed Asian countries like China and Japan are primarily behind global shifts in the climate. “Every other place is dirty. That’s not good,” he said. The report, released on Black Friday, said the effects of climate change are already causing huge economic losses, making the U.S. less competitive and Americans sicker.
