Fox News host Tucker Carlson has refused to apologize for a string of derogatory comments he made about women on a radio show years ago, including dismissing women as “extremely primitive” and “like dogs.” Media Matters for Americauncovered the shocking comments Sunday. Carlson can be heard saying that women “just need to be quiet and kind of do what you’re told,” he described TV host Alexis Stewart, Martha Stewart’s daughter, with the C-word and added that he wanted to “give her the spanking she so desperately needs.” He also called Britney Spears and Paris Hilton “the biggest white whores in America.” Responding late Sunday, Carlson refused to apologize, posting on Twitter: “Media Matters caught me saying something naughty on a radio show more than a decade ago. Rather than express the usual ritual contrition, how about this: I’m on television every weeknight live for an hour. If you want to know what I think, you can watch. Anyone who disagrees with my views is welcome to come on and explain why.”
